She is a graduate of Gateway STEM High School, St. Louis University, and Webster University. She has served on the boards of various organizations to include: Alfred Walker Numismatic Association (AWNA), Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Urban League of Northern Virginia; San Diego Youth Services; and Naval Intelligence Professionals.
